Παρακολουθώντας τα βραβεία κινηματογράφου, είχαμε σχηματίσει μια εικόνα για το τι αγάπησαν οι κριτικοί και τι όχι. Οι υποψηφιότητες των Oscars ανακοινώθηκαν σε live streaming από την Tracee Ellis Ross και τον Kumail Naniani και ομολογουμένως έχουμε μείνει με το στόμα ανοιχτό.
Με μια πρώτη ματιά, οι υποψηφιότητες μοιάζει να είναι των MTV Movie Awards και όχι των Oscars. Η Ακαδημία κινηματογράφου φαίνεται πως ακολούθησε το ρεύμα και γέμισε τις κατηγορίες με εμπορικές επιτυχίες. Κάποιες το αξίζουν, κάποιες όχι, η Lady Gaga μπορεί να λέει και επίσημα πως είναι υποψήφια για Όσκαρ και το ''Bohemian Rhapsody'' παρόλο που δεν το λάτρεψαν οι κριτικοί μπήκε στις ''Best Pictures''. O Γιώργος Λάνθιμος και το ''The Favourite'' κέρδισε, ούτε λίγο ούτε πολύ, δέκα υποψηφιότητες.
Έκπληξη μας προκάλεσε η συμπερίληψη του ''Black Panther'' στις υποψηφιότητες ''Best Picture''. Το άξιζε, αλλά δεν είναι απ' αυτές που ευνοούνται συχνά στα Βραβεία Ακαδημίας.
Να θυμίσουμε πως η φετινή απονομή δεν έχει ακόμα παρουσιαστή και θα λάβει χώρα στις 24 Φεβρουαρίου στο Dolby Theatre στο Hollywood.
